Summary
  • Barbadians are required to complete the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form before traveling, whether arriving by air or sea. No visa required.

  • Apply at least 24–72 hours before your trip, either via the government portal or with iVisa for an earlier application, 24/7 support, and a thorough review.

  • Skipping the form can result in being denied entry, so apply early and ensure your passport meets the 6-month validity rule.

Barbados and Antigua may share Caribbean ties, but if you're a Barbadian heading to Antigua and Barbuda, there’s an important requirement to remember: the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form.

Is this form mandatory for Barbadian citizens?

Yes. Although Barbadians enjoy visa-free travel to Antigua and Barbuda, the entry form is still required.

It’s part of the country’s digital border system and must be completed online before your trip.

💡 Femke Strietman, iVisa travel expert, adds:

”The Entry Form not a visa, but it's required for all Barbadian travelers. It replaces the old paper customs forms on planes.”

Do I need it for a short flight or day trip?

Absolutely. The entry form is required for:

  • Commercial flights
  • Cruise stops
  • Private vessels

There are no exemptions based on how long you stay or how you arrive.

When to submit the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form?

You must apply online within 72 hours before arrival, though we recommend doing it 2–3 days in advance.

With iVisa, you can fill it out even earlier, and we’ll make sure it’s done when the window opens, and it’s delivered to your email inbox in time.

How do I fill out the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form?

You can:

  • Apply for free on the government website
  • Or use iVisa or our mobile app to get assistance, faster delivery, and support

You’ll need:

Document Purpose
A valid Canadian passport (recommended 6 months validity) ID
Proof of onward or return travel To prove your intention to return home
Travel itinerary or hotel confirmation Show where you’ll be staying
Travel insurance Not required but highly recommended due to high medical costs in the country

💡Sarah Bilan, tour guide:

”Although not mandatory, travel insurance is highly recommended in case of unexpected issues during your trip. Medical costs can be incredibly high here!”

Is the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form free?

The government form is free, however, when applying through iVisa, you’ll pay a small service fee for convenience, speed, and error-checking.
