Summary
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate required if you're arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

  • No mandatory vaccines are required to enter Aruba if you’re coming from most countries.

  • All travelers must complete the Aruba ED Card application before arrival. This digital entry form helps streamline health screening and immigration procedures.

Traveling to Aruba soon for a well-deserved break? At the time of writing, Aruba does not require any mandatory vaccinations to enter the country.

That means you can visit the island without any compulsory immunizations (including COVID-19) - unless you're arriving from a yellow fever risk area. Additionally, you must have the Aruba ED Card to enter the country.

Required vaccinations for Aruba

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travelers aged 9 months old or over:

  • Arriving from countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission, and/or;
  • Having transited for more than 12 hours through an airport of a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission.

You'll be denied entry if a valid vaccination certificate cannot be provided in case of the above. Find out the

💡 Recommended (but not required) vaccines include:

  • Hepatitis A – for food and water safety
  • Hepatitis B – if you’ll be in close contact with locals
  • Tetanus – especially for outdoor adventures
  • Rabies – if you plan to explore nature or encounter animals
  • Typhoid – for those venturing into rural or off-grid areas

Even though these vaccines aren’t required, staying up to date can help protect your health during your tropical escape. A quick consult with a travel health specialist 4–6 weeks before your trip is a smart move.

What is the Aruba ED Card, and why do I need it?

While vaccines aren’t mandatory, Aruba does require all travelers to complete the Aruba ED Card, a digital entry document designed to streamline health and immigration screening. That doesn't mean vaccinations are mandatory, but it simple tracks the health info of incoming travelers.
