How to quickly apply for an Australian visa with iVisa

Depending on your nationality, you can get an Australia visa in as little as an hour with iVisa. We offer Standard, Rush, and Super Rush options.

What is the Australia ETA?

The Australia Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) (subclass 601) is an electronic visa for short-term visits for tourism or business purposes. It is available to passport holders from specific countries such as the US, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.

This visa is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, allowing multiple entries, with a maximum stay of up to 3 months per visit. However, there are restrictions – visa holders are not permitted to work or study for extended periods while in Australia.

Requirements for the Australia ETA:

  • A valid passport from an eligible country, with at least six months validity remaining from your intended date of arrival

  • A recent passport-size photo, taken according to the Australian government’s specifications

What is the Australia eVisitor Visa?

The Australia eVisitor Visa (subclass 651) is designed for travelers from Europe, including countries like Germany, France, and Italy. Similar to the ETA, it is an electronic visa, valid for 12 months, allowing multiple entries and stays of up to 3 months per visit.

This visa covers tourism and short-term business activities like attending meetings but does not allow the holder to work or pursue long-term studies.

Requirements for the Australia eVisitor Visa:

  • A passport from an eligible European country with at least six months of validity beyond your intended stay

  • Proof of employment, like a contract letter (if applicable)

  • Proof of financial capability, like bank statements (if applicable)

What is the Australia Visitor Visa?

The Australia Visitor Visa (subclass 600) is the tourist option for travelers who aren’t eligible for the ETA or eVisitor Visa. Depending on the approval, the Visitor Visa can be granted with a validity of 3, 6, or 12 months, with a stay duration of up to 12 months per visit.

This visa requires a more detailed application process and, depending on your nationality, a biometrics appointment at a Visa Application Centre (VAC).

Requirements for the Visitor Visa:

  • A valid passport

  • A residence card (if you’re not residing in your home country)

  • Proof that you can support yourself financially during your stay, like bank statements from the last 3 months

  • Student certificate (if applicable)

  • Invitation letter (if you have an Australian host or are traveling for business purposes)

  • Marriage certificate (if applicable)

iVisa pro tip: It’s tempting to lock in good deals on flights and accommodations, but when it comes to applying for an Australian visa, it’s best to play it safe. There can be delays due to health and character checks or requests for extra documents. To avoid losing money, stick to refundable options or wait until your visa is officially approved.

How do I apply for an Australian visa?

Applying for an Australian visa can be quick and stress-free with us. We handle all the complexities, so you can focus on planning your trip. Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Visit our platform and choose your visa
Go to our website or the [iVisa app]. At the top of the page, select your home country in the “Where am I from” section and set Australia as the destination in the “Where am I going” section. Then, we’ll show you the visa options available to you.

Step 2: Complete the online application Enter your personal and travel details and pay the fees. Once your payment has been approved, you can complete the rest of the application and upload the required documents.

Step 3: Submit and attend the appointment Submit your application once you’ve double-checked it for accuracy. If a biometrics appointment is a must for your nationality, we’ll book it on your behalf.
