These two types of visas are the most requested:

  • Group eVisa.

  • Tourist (10-year) Visa – only for US citizens.

This blog contains information about these two types of visas. If you want to check requirements or other types of visas, click here.

What is a China eVisa?

  • The China Group eVisa is a tourist visa that is issued to tourist groups comprised of least 2 members traveling together both into and out of China. The China Group eVisa is issued as a stand-alone document, not as a sticker on a passport, like the China Tourist Visa.

  • The China Tourist Visa allows you to enter and leave China as many times as you want within the 10 year period. The China Visa Application Form is the first step for getting a Chinese Visa before submitting your documents at your designated Embassy/Consulate. iVisa service includes completing the China Visa Application Form and providing a Preparation Guide for the steps that applicants must follow in order to get their China 10 year tourist visa. Note: Applicants must go to their designated Embassy/Consulate to continue with their China 10-year Tourist Visa application.

What are the documents required to apply?

  • For the China Group eVisa, we require the following to submit your application:

    • Minimum of 2 people traveling together.

    • A digital passport copy of each passenger. Remember that your passport must have at least 6 more months of validity left.

    • A recently-taken color passport photo.

    • Return airline ticket.

    • Copy of the Chinese hotel reservation/Invitation letter from your Chinese host.

    • Credit/debit card, PayPal Account to pay for your visa online.

    • Valid postal address.

  • For the China Tourist Visa, we require the following to fill your application:

    • Valid passport with at least 1 year of validity and 2 blanks pages or the Chinese Embassy or Consulate would not issued the China paper visa for 10 years.

    • Travel Itinerary

    • Credit/Debit Card or PayPal Account to pay for your visa online.

Click here to start your application.

How does the China eVisa work?

  • The China Group eVisa is issued electronically by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the China Government. We enter the applicant's information into the China eVisa system and after they check it out, we are advised of the outcome of the China eVisa application.

  • For the China Tourist Visa, our service includes completing the China Visa Application Form and providing a Preparation Guide for the steps that applicants must follow in order to get their China 10 year tourist visa. Together with your completed China Visa Application Form, you will receive a Preparation Guide with a list of documents you should bring along with you to submit your application at your designated China Embassy/Consulate in the US.

How can I apply for a China eVisa?

For both types of visas, the process consists of three easy steps:

  1. The first step will ask you to fill in your general information. You also need to choose the processing time from the options mentioned above.

  2. The second step will ask you to revise step one and make the payment.

  3. The last step consists of a questionnaire. It is at this point when you need to upload your passport scan and photo. Other documents may be required as well, but it depends on personal circumstances.

Click here to start. After you are done, you submit your form and wait for your visa to arrive. In case you need assistance to fill your application, iVisa has a fantastic support service that you can call 24/7.

What happens after I have applied?

  • Once your application for the China Group eVisa is done, you will receive the Group eVisa by email. No need to deal with the embassy. We do it for you so you don't lose valuable time. Next, present a printed version of your China Group eVisa along with your passport once you enter China.

  • For the China Tourist Visa, after you received the application confirmed by email, you will need to follow the next steps:

    1. Submit your application form and other documents required to the Visa Office of the Chinese Embassy/Consulate based on your State of residence.

    2. Pay the visa cost (140 USD) at the Visa Office and pick your visa.
