Cuba visa cost

One of the primary concerns of people who apply for a Cuba visa is the cost. It is a natural concern, which is why it is best if you stay informed. The cost of a Cuba visa depends on which method of getting it you use. You can use online services, get a visa at the airline you are using, or you can go to a diplomatic mission. Each method comes with its own cost, and at the end of the day, you should select the one that you find to be most convenient.

Online Cuba visa cost

When you apply online using the services of iVisa, the cost of your visa depends on one thing: the processing time you select for your application. iVisa understands that people have different needs and budgets, which is why it has come up with three excellent options. They are as follows:

  • Standard processing time – your application will be processed and your Tourist card delivered in 3 to 5 business days. This option is the cheapest of them all, and it costs $110
  • Rush processing – your Tourist card will arrive within 1 to 3 business days, depending on the shipping. As for cost, this time, you will be charged $130.
  • Super Rush processing – this is the fastest option available. You will have your Cuba Tourist card in 1 business day, but you will be charged $150 for the urgency.

The fees above include the shipping cost. While the Cuba visa cost remains the same in all three cases, it is the service fee owed to iVisa that increases from one processing time to the other.

Consular Cuba visa cost

For whatever the reason you chose not to apply online and opted to go to a Cuban embassy to get your visa, the fees are indeed lower than if you get a Cuba Tourist card online. The prices depend from one embassy to embassy, but they range from $20 to $75. However, do not forget to add the cost of you going to a Cuban diplomatic mission to apply. First of all, depending on where you live, you may have to take a trip. Cuban consulates cannot be found in all cities. The trip may cost you a bit. You need to apply during business hours and if you have a day job, you need to take leave from work. That, again, is money out of your pocket. Not to mention the time and the energy you will spend for that day. Traveling and standing in line are not relaxing activities, which is why you need to take all of that into consideration.

Using an airline

Some people decide to get their visa at the airport before they go to Cuba. While there is nothing wrong with that, not all airlines have this option. If you are lucky and choose one that has, you can purchase the document at the gate or have it sent via postal mail or e-mail. If you go for this option, the cheapest alternative does not go below $50. While you can choose from a few alternatives, the cost of a Cuba visa should not be quantified in dollars alone. You should also think of the time you invest and the energy while getting your Tourist Card. We recommend that you apply online for a Cuba visa because it is the least time-consuming option, hassle-free, and the fees are affordable.
