What are the eligibility criteria for the Gabon e-Visa?
Before going ahead with the Gabon Visa online application, check if you meet the eligibility criteria as set by the government:
1. Passport validity: Applicants must have a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into Gabon and one blank page for visa stamping.
2. Purpose of visit: The e-Visa is available for tourism, business, and medical purposes only.
3. Supporting documents: Depending on the purpose of travel, applicants may need to provide additional documents such as a flight itinerary, hotel reservations, invitation letters, business contacts, or any other supporting documents as requested by the e-Visa application form.

Do children/minors need a visa to visit Gabon?
Yes, children or minors are also required to have a visa to enter Gabon. They cannot travel to Gabon solely on their parent's or guardian's visa. Each child must have their own individual visa, regardless of their age.
Additional documents may be required for minors, such as a birth certificate, consent letter from parents or legal guardians, and other supporting documents as deemed necessary by the Gabonese authorities.

How long is the Gabon e-Visa valid?
The visa validity period of the Gabon e-Visa varies depending on the type of visa you choose.

Single-entry Visa: Generally, the e-Visa allows for a single stay of up to 30 days per entry. This means that once your e-Visa is approved and issued, you can enter Gabon once. You must use the visa within 30 days after arrival.

Multiple-entry Visa: The second choice is the multiple-entry e-Visa, valid 30 days after arrival. That means you can enter and leave Gabon multiple times during the validity period.
Extending the Gabon e-Visa
The e-Visa, as for other visas issued by the Gabonese government, can be extended by visiting the visa department of the Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) in Libreville, under the following conditions:

A visa valid for one month can be extended for two months.

A visa of two months can be extended for one month.

A visa of three or six months can’t be extended.
You have to apply for an extension before your current visa expires.
Gabon e-Visa required documents
When applying online for the Gabon e-Visa, you may be required to submit various supporting documents. Here are the general Gabon Visa requirements:

Valid passport: Submit a copy of your passport data page, it must have a minimum validity of six months beyond your intended date of entry into Gabon. The passport should also have at least one blank page for the e-Visa sticker.
