Just a smarter, friendly way to get what you need.

What is the Libya eVisa?

The Libya eVisa is a digital travel document that lets you enter Libya without dealing with stacks of paperwork or long wait times. It can be used by foreign visitors entering by air, land, or sea.

Application method Validity No. of entries Maximum duration of stay
electronic (eVisa) 30 days from issue date (extendable) single 30 days

Whether you're visiting for tourism, business, or work, you can apply entirely online from your phone or computer in a matter of minutes.

There are some things to keep in mind. The eVisa isn’t valid for transit. If you’re just passing through Libya, you’ll need a separate transit visa. Also, travelers with Israeli stamps or visas in their passport won’t be allowed to enter, even if they’re from a country eligible for the eVisa.

Who needs to apply for the Libya eVisa?

✈️ Most travelers need a visa before arrival. Libya doesn’t currently offer visas on arrival, so you’ll need to apply ahead of time.

🌍 Tourists, business travelers, and professionals all require an eVisa for short stays.

🛂 Your nationality matters. Some countries qualify for Libya’s eVisa program, while others may need to apply at the nearest Libyan embassy or consulate.

What you’ll need to apply for the Libya eVisa

✔️ A passport that's valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date in Libya

✔️ A recently-taken, high-quality passport photo

✔️ A scan of your sponsor's passport (if applicable)

✔️ A signed cover letter from your sponsor (if applicable)

Can I get a visa on arrival in Libya?

iVisa
March 17, 2025

Hey Leya,

Getting a Libyan Visa on Arrival is not that straightforward. It's available to select nationalities and eligible travelers can only get one if they book a private tour through an approved Libyan travel agency. This means you’d need to pre-arrange accommodations, transportation, and a local tour guide before landing in Libya. We recommend contacting the nearest Libyan embassy or consulate to find out if you qualify for one.

If you’d rather have everything sorted before you travel, then applying for a Libya eVisa is a much better option. Since Turkey is one of the countries that can apply for this visa online, you can get it before you land in Libya so there’s no stress at immigration. If that’s the route you’d prefer, we can help with your application and check that everything meets the official requirements so you don’t run into any issues.

Hey Adnan,

You'll be happy to know that Pakistani passport holders can apply for a Libya eVisa online instead of going through an embassy or consulate.

The tourist eVisa is valid for 30 days, and once approved, you’ll be allowed to stay in Libya for up to that same duration on a single-entry basis.

To apply, you'll need to provide your passport details and travel information as part of the online application. If you’d rather not worry about getting everything right on your own, we can help you with your application to make sure there are no issues that could cause delays.
