Do Egyptian citizens need a visa to visit Mexico?
Yes, Egyptian citizens planning to visit Mexico for tourism, business, or transit purposes must have a visa before entering the country.
You don’t need to apply for a Mexican visa if you meet one of the following conditions:
-
You hold a valid multiple-entry visa from Canada, the USA, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or any of the countries in the Schengen Area.
-
You’re a permanent resident of Canada, the USA, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Japan, a Schengen member state, or any member country of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia, and Peru).
-
You’re entering Mexico via a cruise ship.
The visa or residence permit, along with your passport, must remain valid for the duration of your stay in Mexico, which should not be more than 180 days per entry.
If you don't meet the above conditions, you must apply for a sticker visa at the nearest Mexican embassy or consulate.

Documents in Arabic or any language that’s not English must be translated into Spanish by a certified translator. During your visa appointment, the original documents must be presented along with the translations.
-
Request a visa appointment at the embassy by sending an email to [[email protected]] along with a PDF copy of the bio-data page of your passport.
-
Bring the required documents (originals and copies) and the completed application form to the Mexican embassy on your appointment day. You’ll be informed when to return and collect your passport.

Wait for your visa application to be processed and pick up your passport as instructed. If your application is approved, your passport will have the visa affixed when you pick it up.
In addition to a Mexican visa, if you’re entering Mexico by land, you’ll also need a Mexico Tourist Card (Forma Migratoria Múltiple or FMM). This is not a visa but an entry immigration form that collects information about your visit to Mexico. It’s mandatory for all foreigners, including those who are visa-exempt.
