Do Ghanaians need a visa for Mexico?
As a Ghanaian citizen, you must get a Tourist Visa and a Mexico Tourist Card (Forma Migratoria MĂșltiple - FMM) before entering Mexico.
The Tourist Card can be applied for online through us, but the Tourist Visa must be obtained from the Mexican Embassy.
Required documents
To apply for a Mexican visa, you will need the following:

Valid passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of arrival in Mexico and should have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

Completed visa application form: This form can be obtained from the Mexican Embassy in Ghana or downloaded from their website.

Passport-sized photographs: Two recent passport-sized photographs.

Proof of financial support: Bank statements, pay slips, or a letter from your employer showing that you can support yourself financially during your stay.

Travel itinerary: Details of your flight, accommodation, and the purpose of your visit.

Medical insurance: Provide proof of medical insurance that is valid in Mexico for the duration of your stay.

Criminal record certificate: Issued by the Ghana Police Service.
Application process

Gather required documents: Ensure you have all the necessary documents before starting the application process.

Schedule an appointment: Contact the Mexican Embassy in Ghana to schedule an appointment. Bring all required documents to your appointment. For a list of embassies and consulates, visit our Embassy Finder.

Pay the visa fee: The visa fee is $36 USD and must be paid at the embassy during your appointment. It is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.

Attend the interview: During the appointment, you will have an interview with a visa officer who will review your documents and ask questions about your visit.

Wait for visa processing: Visa processing can take up to 15 business days.

Collect your passport: Once approved, you can collect your passport with the visa from the embassy.
- Traveling by car: If you plan to enter Mexico by land, you will need a Tourist Card by Land, which is more expensive than the FMM by air. Apply with us.
