What you need to know

  • The Oman Visa for GCC Residents is a travel document that allows you to enter the sultanate to do tourist activities.

  • The Oman Visa for GCC Residents allows applicants to stay for 28 days in total and is valid for a Single entry only.

  • Your stay in Oman can be extended only once with this visa.

  • You can’t change the Oman Visa for GCC Residents to a work visa while inside the Sultanate of Oman.

  • This GCC e-Visa does not require a sponsor in Oman, but your profession must be one of the approved professions.

  • To apply for this visa you must be a resident of a GCC country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or UAE), and your residence card should have at least 6 months of validity upon entry to Oman.

  • You also need to be outside the Sultanate of Oman at the time of your application for the GCC visa.

  • In addition, you must enter Oman directly from a GCC country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or UAE).

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry to Oman.

  • To apply for this visa you cannot have any other current Oman visa.

  • If you overstay in Oman, there is a fine of 26 USD for each day of overstay that you will need to pay.

  • If you want to travel with children, the parent or legal guardian has to present a valid Oman visa, or apply first to get the visa issued before submitting the application for the child.

  • If you apply with your spouse, and your spouse doesn't work or is not on the approved profession list, the applicant with the approved profession will have to get the visa issued first, before applying for the spouse.
