Culture and history abound in the Philippines. No wonder the country is so high on everyone’s bucket list! However, before going, you should check the requirements to enter the Philippines. One of these requirements is obtaining the Philippines eArrival Card.

The Philippines government requests that all domestic and foreign nationals present this document before departure or upon arrival in the country. This document helps health authorities track and locate COVID-19 infection hotspots. In the past, this document was known as the Philippines Health Pass.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about obtaining the card, how to fill in the application form, and other Philippine government requirements.

What is the Philippines eArrival Card?

All travelers have to present a Philippines eArrival Card upon entry to the country. This document replaces the Philippines Health Pass and is mandatory to get before traveling to the country, regardless of nationality or health status.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines introduced the form to help the health and immigration authorities protect public health and control the spread of COVID-19 within the country. During the application process, you must declare if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or if you've recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Please note that the Philippines eArrival Card is NOT a substitute for a visa. You will still need to apply for a valid Philippine visa to enter the country, if applicable to your nationality. Please check all Philippines visa requirements at your local Philippine embassy or consulate.

Who must get the Philippines eArrival Card?

Each person wishing to enter the Philippines, whether you’re a Philippine citizen or foreign national, must fill out the form to get the Philippines eArrival Card within 72 hours before departure.

Validity of the Philippines eArrival Card

The Philippines Arrival Card is a Single entry document and is valid for 30 days after arrival after being issued. The application is done 100% online and only takes a few minutes of your time.

Simply fill in the form with your information, such as a valid foreign passport number and health details, and then receive the document via email. If you leave the country and wish to re-enter later, you must apply for this document again.

A Philippine visa determines the length of your stay in the Philippines. The Philippines Arrival Card doesn’t replace the tourist visa. If you’re not sure what the validity of your visa is, check your information with a consular officer at the Philippine consulate or embassy.
