Since June 14th, 2022, Rwanda has significantly relaxed its entry requirements for international travelers, including South African citizens. The Rwanda Passenger Locator Form is no longer necessary to enter the country. Additionally, COVID-19 vaccination certificates are not mandatory for entry into Rwanda.

South African citizens require a valid visa to enter Rwanda. Here are the key requirements:
- A passport valid for six months beyond the arrival date
- Visa can be obtained on arrival for stays up to 30 days
- E-visa application available through official channels
- Possibility to extend visa duration after arrival
