Disclaimer: An arrival card is not a visa. It cannot be used as a substitute for a visa and does not grant permission to enter any country. Travelers are responsible for obtaining the appropriate visa, if required, prior to arrival. The arrival card is for administrative purposes only and does not serve as a travel authorization or entry permit.

In case you want to take a trip to Singapore, you should know that you may need a visa to enter the country. The only exception is for people who are from one of the 34 visa-exempt countries. They can travel to Singapore and stay there for periods that vary from 30 to 90 days, depending on the nationality. At the same time, the citizens of 15 countries are eligible for an electronic visa. All the other tourists must apply for a Singapore visa at the nearest embassies.

The easiest way to find out if you qualify for a Singapore e-visa is to use iVisa’s Visa Checker. Access the tool, which you can see in the top right corner of this page. You will see two drag-down menus. In the one on the left, you need to select your country of origin, while in the one on the right, you must put Singapore as your destination. The result will notify you about your options. Moreover, if you are not visa exempt or eligible for a Singapore e-visa, you will be given a list of the nearest embassies where you can go and obtain a consular visa.

The process of getting a Singapore e-visa is easier than you think. iVisa handles all the bureaucracy while all you have to do is provide some information, documents, and fill in an application form. As for what you need, here is a list of the requirements:

  • Passport – all applicants must hold a valid passport that does not expire for at least another 6 months from the date of departure from Singapore.

  • Digital photo – the picture must be taken in the last 3 months.

  • Valid e-mail address – iVisa will send you your visa via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print it out before departure. Preferably in multiple copies.

  • Means of online payment – the payment must be made during the application process, which is why you must have a credit/debit card. However, if you use PayPal, Alipay, or WeChat, iVisa accepts those as well. Whichever is more convenient for you.

  • Return flight ticket – you will be asked to present it when you arrive in Singapore.

Once you have everything you need, you can move on and fill in the application form. That should not impose any issues, but if you do need assistance, iVisa has a support service that is available 24/7 and free of charge.

The application form has three simple steps. The first one will ask you to fill in your personal information and some details about your trip. You will also be required to select one of the three available processing times. Keep in mind that your choice determines the cost of your Singapore e-visa. They are as follows:

  • Standard processing – your application is processed within 72 hours, and you will be charged $57.

  • Rush processing – this option is a bit faster. Your Singapore e-visa arrives in 24 hours, but you need to pay $87.

  • Super Rush processing – this is the fastest option you have. Your application will be processed within 18 hours, and you need to pay a fee of $122.

The second step consists of payment and revision. We covered the payment above, but you need to be extremely careful with the revision. Any error can invalidate your visa, so make sure to double-check your application before submitting it.

The last step asks you to upload documents. You will be notified as to what you need to provide. Once you are done, you can submit your application and be done with the whole process.

As you can see, the Singapore visa process provided by iVisa is designed to take less time than it would typically take. The Singapore e-visa is valid for 90 days since issue, it grants a 30-day stay, and it provides multiple entries.
