travel to Thailand

Many travelers from Hong Kong head to Thailand for a quick recharge, whether it’s shopping in Bangkok, snorkeling in Krabi, or relaxing in Chiang Mai. Before arriving, there’s one form you’ll need to fill out: the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).

We make this step easier by guiding you through the process, helping you avoid mistakes that could delay your entry.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is a mandatory digital immigration form that has replaced the former TM6 paper card. It collects your travel and personal details and must be completed before entering Thailand.

Key details about the Thailand Digital Arrival Card Who should complete the TDAC?
📄Type of document: Digital immigration form, not a visa Hong Kong SAR citizens visiting Thailand for:
⏱️When to submit: Up to 72 hours before arrival 🛫Tourism: Visiting popular destinations like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Phuket
💻How to complete: Online submission 🛍️Business or shopping trips: Short-term visits for attending meetings, conferences, or trade events
Important: Required in addition to any visa (if applicable) 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Family visits: Staying with relatives or friends in Thailand

Once submitted, your TDAC is valid for a single entry and will be sent to your email. You’ll need to show it at immigration when you arrive in Thailand.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card requirements for Hong Kongese travelers

  1. A valid Hong Kong SAR passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date. Be careful to enter your passport number exactly as it appears.

  2. Personal details: Your full name, nationality, phone number, and email address.

  3. Travel plans: This includes your arrival and departure dates, how you’re entering Thailand (such as by plane or car), your flight or vehicle number, and your reason for travel.

  4. Accommodation in Thailand: You must provide the full address of where you’ll be staying. This can be a hotel, apartment, or guesthouse.

  5. Health declarations (if needed): Depending on where you’ve been before arriving in Thailand, you may be asked to show proof of certain vaccinations, such as yellow fever.

What Hong Kongese travelers should know before submitting the TDAC

You can update specific details after submitting your TDAC, such as your arrival date or accommodation. But if there’s an error in your name, passport number, nationality, or date of birth, you’ll need to submit a new form. These fields cannot be changed once submitted.

Why apply for the TDAC with us

We’re not the Thai government. We’re a private visa service provider trusted by travelers for over a decade. We’ve helped travelers from Hong Kong and over 180 countries complete documents like the TDAC without errors that can cause delays.

Unlike government portals, we guide you every step of the way. With expert reviews, dedicated support, and clear instructions, we help you avoid mistakes that others only discover at immigration.

“I filled out the form the day before I traveled. Everything was checked and ready by the time I boarded the plane. Super helpful and quick.” — Carmen W, Hong Kong
