What you need to know

  • NOTE: With this visa, the first country you enter in East Africa must be Uganda.

  • The Uganda East Africa Visa is a multiple-entry official travel document that allows you to travel to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.

  • The Uganda East Africa Visa allows you to do tourist activities only. You can’t work with this visa.

  • The East Africa Tourist Visa is valid for 180 days after arrival.

  • The maximum length of stay is 90 days in total, and it is valid for Multiple entry.

  • To apply for this document, you shouldn’t have another current Uganda, Rwanda, or Kenya visa.

  • Make sure to be outside these countries at the time of application.

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon entry to these East African countries.

  • This visa cannot be changed to a work visa while inside the Republic of Uganda, Rwanda, or Kenya.

  • Applicants must arrive with the same passport with which they applied for the East Africa e-Visa.
