What is the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration?
The Zimbabwe Customs Declaration Form is a mandatory travel document for all passengers entering the airport in possession of the following items:

Goods from overseas companies worth more than USD 300 in total that have been obtained outside the country.

Having more than 5 liters of alcoholic beverages.

Merchandise for sale, trade, or import.

More than 2 liters of alcoholic beverages.

Gifts you carry on behalf of others or ordered by family or friends.
This document must be printed and presented to the agents at the border. You must specify whether the foreign currency is for personal or business use. In addition, the price and transportation tax must be registered if that is the case.
It is essential to consider that this travel document is not a substitute for a visa or any other necessary travel authorization.
You cannot bring any endangered species or article subject to inspection, like drugs, food, and others.
What countries need to apply for a Zimbabwe Customs Declaration?
No matter which country you are coming from or if you are a resident, all travelers fulfilling any of the above items must apply for this document in order to enter the country.
Failure to do so may result in legal problems, confiscation of your belongings, and a fine.
How long is the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration valid?
This type of document can only be used for a Single entry. In addition, because it is a document that is only checked at the border, it expires when your belongings are checked. Therefore, each time you enter with any of the items, you will have to fill out a new one.
Travel requirements and required documents for the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration?
To obtain your travel document, you must present the following documents:

Passport information: To process the travel document, we need your personal passport information. We will need your full name, date of birth, nationality, and country of residence.

Other information: We will also need you to get us your flight number or airway bill, physical address in Zimbabwe, the purpose of travel, and what you own.

Email: An email address is required to send you this travel document.

Do I need a Zimbabwe Customs Declaration to transit?
Transit through Zimbabwe is permitted for all international travelers who meet the requirements of their final destination. That is, you will not need to present any travel documents if you do not cross the immigration zone.
However, if you need to stay in a hotel, want to visit the country for a few days, or any other reason, you must present the form.
How do I apply for the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration Renewal?
This document can be processed very easily. Just follow these three steps:

What are the costs and processing time of the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration?
There are three processing alternatives with which you can process the travel document. They are as follows:

Standard Processing Time (USD $56.99 - 24 hours) – This process is perfect if you aren't in a rush to get to your destination. This processing time is cheap and allows you to save money but not time.

Rush Processing Time (USD $83.99 - 8 hours) – This process is faster than the standard but costs more. It is for travelers who are in a rush but not that urgent.

Super Rush Processing Time (USD $124.99 - 4 hours) – This is the fastest processing time, designed for those who need to travel as soon as possible.
Do minors need a Zimbabwe Customs Declaration to enter the country?
Minors should not fill out this form. Since the guardians are the representatives of the children, if for any reason they own any item on the list, the guardians are the ones who will fill out this travel document on their behalf.
COVID-19 requirements or restrictions
Do I need to take a COVID-19 test before traveling to Zimbabwe?
All travelers wishing to enter the country must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result no later than 48 hours before arrival. This requirement is only mandatory for minors under five years of age and fully vaccinated travelers.
Remember that this information may change over time as the pandemic evolves. Therefore, we always recommend travelers review this information days before the flight.
Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccination certificate to enter Zimbabwe?
No! Today, passports or COVID vaccination certificates are no longer required to enter Zimbabwe. Pre-departure tests are not needed eighter.
Do I need to quarantine when I get to Zimbabwe?
There are no quarantine requirements for travelers visiting Zimbabwe.
What else should I keep in mind before traveling to Zimbabwe?
The date you choose to travel will determine how well, or poorly you spend your trip. Since the weather can affect activities, selecting a date that allows you to enjoy the destinations is crucial.
It is not advisable to go in summer between November and March because of the high temperatures. On the other hand, winter is usually dry and ideal for safaris.
In the dry season, rainfall is low, so it is the most appropriate time to do sports such as rafting on the Zambezi River.

Once the application has been submitted to the Zimbabwe government, it depends on the government guidelines. In case you have already received the approved travel document, there is no possibility of changing the information provided, and you will have to apply again.
I have not received a confirmation email after submitting my customs declaration. What now?
It’s possible that the email landed in your SPAM folder. If you can’t find it, it is always possible to check your application and download your document in your iVisa account.
