Summary
  • Nigerian citizens must obtain a visa via the UK High Commission before visiting Antigua and Barbuda; there’s no visa on arrival option.

  • The Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form is mandatory for all travelers and must be submitted 24–72 hours before departure.

  • iVisa helps Nigerians apply for the Entry Form online, offering early access, expert review, and 24/7 customer support.

Whether you're traveling for leisure, business, or visiting loved ones, Nigerian citizens must complete the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form before departure.

While a visa is also required, iVisa currently only supports travelers by simplifying the Entry Form process, making your journey smoother. You can get the visa via the UK High Commission (more info below).

Do Nigerian citizens need a visa for Antigua and Barbuda?

Yes. Nigerian passport holders must apply for a visa in advance, as Antigua and Barbuda does not offer a visa on arrival for Nigerian citizens. The type of visa depends on your travel purpose: tourist, business, student, or transit.

Although iVisa doesn't offer Antigua and Barbuda visa processing currently, Nigerian citizens can apply directly through the High Commission in the United Kingdom.

Apply at least 4–6 weeks in advance to avoid delays, and make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your stay.

What is the Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form?

The Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form is a mandatory online document required for all international travelers. It collects essential arrival and health information to streamline immigration procedures and support public health policies.

Whether you're arriving by air or sea, you must submit the form 24 to 72 hours before departure. The form is separate from your visa and does not replace it.

You can apply in two ways:

  • Through the official government portal
  • Or via iVisa — we offer early submission access, form review, and 24/7 support to make the process easier and stress-free.

⏱️ Delivery time: Instant
💰 Government fee: Free
🔐 iVisa service: Small fee, includes expert review, 24/7 support, and early access

Other Antigua and Barbuda entry requirements for Nigerians

To enter Antigua and Barbuda, Nigerian travelers need:

✔️ A valid Nigerian passport (6+ months validity)

✔️ A pre-approved visa (apply via the UK High Commission)

✔️ A completed Antigua and Barbuda Entry Form

✔️ Proof of accommodation

✔️ Return or onward travel ticket

✔️ Proof of sufficient funds (e.g., recent bank statements)

✔️ Travel insurance (not mandatory, recommended for all travelers)

✈️ Catherine Thurtle, iVisa travel expert, adds:

" Keep a printed or digital copy of your approved Entry Form on hand to show at immigration for a smooth and quick entry process."

Health and vaccination requirements

While no routine vaccinations are mandatory, some are strongly recommended depending on your travel history.

If you're arriving from or transiting through a yellow fever risk country, Antigua and Barbuda requires a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate upon entry. This rule helps prevent disease spread and is enforced at all borders.
