The Tourist Visa is also valid for a longer stay, so you've got more time to explore.

  • Explore the country as a tourist

Indonesia entry requirements or restrictions

There are currently no COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for travelers entering Indonesia.

Immigration officials may ask you for proof of onward travel (such as a return or onward flight ticket) upon arrival. Some airlines have refused to board passengers without evidence of this.

Differences between the Indonesia Tourist Visa and the eVOA

Let's take a look at the differences:

  • Indonesia Tourist Visa: Ideal for travelers planning a longer stay (max. 60 days)or those who may not be eligible for the eVOA.

It's also a good choice for visitors who wish to have their visa sorted before departure, providing peace of mind and certainty.

  • Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA): The eVOA is perfect for tourists from eligible countries looking to enjoy Indonesia for short-term visits (up to 30 days per entry), catering to short-term vacationers and business travelers alike.

It can be obtained directly upon arrival at designated ports in Indonesia, offering a quick entry process.

The decision of entry remains the right of the respective Immigration Officer at the port of entry. The decision is based on safety reasons, your immigration/travel history, and if you meet all the correct entry requirements.

If you overstay your Tourist Visa (or any other visa), you'll be charged a fine of IDR 1,000,000 per day, or detained, deported, or banned future travel to Indonesia for a specific period.
