Hi Anna, overstaying your visa in Indonesia is taken seriously. The penalty is 1,000,000 IDR (about $65 USD) per day, and in some cases, immigration may deny re-entry in the future or even add you to a blacklist.
If your Tourist Visa has already expired, extensions are generally not possible. You can check your options on the official immigration website or visit the nearest immigration office, but be prepared to pay the fine.
If you’re going to the airport, you’ll likely be taken to an immigration desk where you’ll need to explain your overstay and settle the fine, usually in cash.
Short overstays of a few days, like yours, are sometimes tolerated, especially with a valid reason. However, longer overstays, especially those involving other violations, are taken far more seriously.
Hi Alfonso! No, unfortunately not.
This is a single-entry visa, so once you leave Indonesia, you’ll need a new visa to return, even if you still have days left on your 60-day stay.
If you want a multiple-entry visa, you’ll have to apply for a suitable visa through your nearest Indonesian Embassy.
Hello Dani! No, this Indonesia Tourist Visit Visa is not the same as the pre-approved Visa on Arrival (VoA or eVoA).
The Tourist Visa allows a longer stay of up to 60 days – twice as long as the VoA. It’s also extendable to up to a total of 180 days, versus up to 60 days with the VoA. It’s a better choice if you're planning a longer trip.
Another key difference: *not all nationalities are eligible for the visa on arrival.
Check your eligibility and apply for the visa that suits you trip best.
Yes, you can use this visa for both tourism and business, as well as attending conferences and events (but only as an attendee, not a speaker).
It’s valid for the whole of Indonesia, but make sure you’re taking domestic flights, as you can only enter Indonesia once with this visa.
Also keep in mind that you have to pay an additional tourist tax to visit Bali.

Does the Indonesia Tourist Visa guarantee entry into the country?

The decision of entry remains the right of the respective Immigration Officer at the port of entry. The decision is based on safety reasons, your immigration/travel history, and if you meet all the correct entry requirements.
