What is the Japan Tourist Visa for Indians?
The Japan Tourist Visa is a mandatory document for Indian passport holders visiting the country for tourism purposes. It's available as a single- or multiple-entry visa and allows you to stay for a maximum of 90 days.
You will need to visit a visa application center to submit your documents and pay the visa fees. Once approved, the visa will be placed in your passport so you can present it to immigration officials upon arrival.

Am I eligible to get a Japan Tourist Visa in India?
Yes, Indian citizens are eligible to apply for a Japan Tourist Visa. Although we currently don't handle Japan Tourist Visa applications, we can give you the information you need to apply for one so that you're well-prepared.
How to apply for the Japan Tourist Visa
1.Complete the application form: Download and complete the visa application form from the VFS Japan visa application center website. Ensure all fields are filled in correctly, as mistakes could lead to delays. Print it out once you're done.
2.Prepare your documents: Download the document checklist from the VFS website. Make sure they meet the Japanese government’s requirements.
3.Book your appointment on the VFS website: When you're done, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation email along with an appointment letter.
4.Submit your application: On the day of your appointment, you’ll need to submit your completed visa application form and supporting documents in person at your chosen VFS centre. You will also pay the visa fees during your appointment. You will receive an email once your passport is ready for collection.
5.Collect your passport: Carry the receipt that was issued by the VFS center and a form of government ID. If your application is successful, the visa will be affixed to your passport.

For Indian nationals, the cost of a single and multiple-entry visa is the same: INR 500 (approximately USD $6). Additionally, the VFS center has a service charge of INR 800 (approximately USD $10).
The processing time for the visa can range from 3 to 10 working days, depending on the embassy or consulate that handles your application.
