Differences between the Thailand Visa on Arrival (eVOA) and other Thailand visas
The Thailand Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA), the Thailand eVisa, and the Thailand Visa on Arrival (VOA) are three different types of visas that allow foreign visitors to enter Thailand. Here are the key differences between them:
- Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA): The Thai eVOA can be applied for online, instead of upon arrival at designated entry points in Thailand, such as the International Airport.
This visa allows for 15 days in the country.
- Visa on Arrival (VOA): The Thai VOA is slightly different from the eVOA, and can be obtained upon arrival at designated entry points in Thailand, such as Bangkok International Airport.
The application is done at a dedicated VOA counter upon arrival, where the necessary forms and fees are processed. To avoid queues, simply apply online through us!
Like the eVOA, the VOA allows for a maximum stay of 15 days in Thailand.
- Thailand eVisa: This electronic visa is available for only certain nationalities. The Thailand eVisa requires applying online and usually involves submitting additional required documents, including a completed application form, passport, supporting documents, and payment of the visa fee.
While the requirements for e-Visa applicants are more extensive, the max. stay is 60 days.
