Planning a trip from Mexico to Ukraine? Whether you're exploring Kyiv's vibrant city life or venturing into Lviv's historic heart, one thing is essential: the Ukraine eVisa.
Without it, you won't be allowed to board your flight or enter Ukraine. The good news? Applying is fast and hassle-free when you do it with us.
What is the Ukraine eVisa?
The Ukraine eVisa is an electronic visa for short-term stays. It covers tourism, business, study, medical visits, and transit. No embassy trips, apply online and receive your visa by email.
Do Mexicans need a Ukraine eVisa?
Yes, Mexican passport holders need an eVisa for Ukraine. This includes minors and transit passengers. Even if you're only connecting through Ukraine, you'll need one.
💡 Important note: Due to the current situation in Ukraine, commercial flights into and out of Ukraine are suspended until further notice. You can enter via land borders such as Ustyluh and Shehyni. Travelers are using routes through Poland or other neighboring countries. Check the latest travel advisories and entry routes before your trip.
How long can Mexicans stay in Ukraine with an eVisa? ✈️
The Ukraine eVisa allows Mexican travelers to visit Ukraine for one trip, staying up to 30 days. Once approved, the visa is valid for 6 months, which means you must enter Ukraine within that time. After 30 days, you must leave the country, as the visa cannot be extended or reused for another visit.
💬 What if you stay too long? If you don't leave Ukraine before your visa expires, you could face a fine, be refused entry next time, or even be deported.
"I accidentally overstayed by 5 days, and at the border I had to pay a fine before leaving. Make sure you know your exit date and stick to it," warned Satiago from Mexico City.

“I tried applying on the government site first, but it kept crashing and didn’t explain that names, addresses, and documents must be filled out using only Latin letters (no accents or special characters). Switching to iVisa was a relief. I got step-by-step help to avoid mistakes,” said Paola R. from Mérida.
Special note for Mexican volunteers
You may be exempt from the visa if you’re traveling on official humanitarian or military duty with an invitation letter. Check with your recruiter and confirm details with the embassy.
💬 "My recruiter advised me to apply for a Ukraine visa first using the invitation letter, and then use that to apply for a Schengen visa through Poland. It was a two-step process but worked smoothly," shared Juan C., a volunteer from Mexico City.
