Planning a trip from the Dominican Republic to Ukraine? Whether you're wandering Kyiv's grand boulevards or soaking up Lviv's cafe culture, there's one must-have before you board that flight: the Ukraine eVisa.
No visa, no entry. The good news? You can apply entirely online, and we make the process fast and stress-free.
What is the Ukraine eVisa?
The Ukraine eVisa is a single-entry electronic visa for short-term stays. It covers tourism, business, study, medical visits, and transit. You don't need to visit an embassy. Apply online, and your visa will be emailed to you.
Do Dominican Republic citizens need a Ukraine eVisa?
Yes, Dominican Republic passport holders need an eVisa to enter Ukraine. This applies to all travelers, including minors and transit passengers. You'll need one even if you're just passing through a Ukrainian airport.
π‘ Note: Ukraine's airspace is currently closed to commercial flights. Travelers are entering by land via Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, or Romania. Check the latest travel advisories and plan your route accordingly.
How long can you stay in Ukraine with an eVisa? βοΈ
Your Ukraine eVisa allows one trip of up to 30 days. Once approved, you have 6 months to enter the country. After that, the visa expires and can't be reused.
π¬ Overstay warning: Overstaying your visa can mean fines, denied entry next time, or even deportation.
"I overstayed by just a few days and had to pay a fine at the border. Ukraine takes this seriously. Always know your exit date," said Manuel R. from Santo Domingo.

Is Ukraine safe to visit?
Despite the war, cities like Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa are open to tourists. Public transport and many businesses continue to operate.
"We visited Lviv last year. Locals were welcoming, and everything felt normal despite the war," said Juan P. from La Romana.
Michael Angelo from The Project Kosmos entered Ukraine from Slovakia and revealed:
"Entering Ukraine from Slovakia was not too bad. They asked why I was visiting and what passport I had, and there were no issues when I said tourism. Exiting Ukraine was trickier.
He went on to reveal that his bags were searched for drugs, along with many other solo male travelers. Michael also strongly recommended that if you're planning to visit Belarus after Ukraine, keep your Ukraine stamp in a separate passport if possible.
Similarly, it's highly recommended to use a new or separate passport when traveling to Ukraine if you have Russian stamps in your passport, even from years ago.
"I watched a family get denied entry because of Russian stamps in their passport despite having valid Ukraine visas. Travel with a clean passport if possible," warned Andres G. from Santiago.
