What is Uzbekistan Customs Declaration T6

Uzbekistan has a complicated customs clearance procedure. Importing equipment, for example, can take days to process. Intending to facilitate the arrival and exit of the goods, the government developed the Uzbekistan Customs Declaration T6.

This form was created so travelers can avoid customs regulations during customs control while entering or exiting the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Each person or entity must declare imported goods and fully comply with all obligations and responsibilities during the customs clearance procedure.

Who Needs to Fill Out the Uzbekistan Customs Declaration T6

The Uzbekistan Custom Declaration T6 is mandatory if the traveler meets the following criteria:

  • Passengers over 16 years of age,

Do Minors Need to Fill Out the Uzbekistan Customs Declaration?

No, they don't. Passengers below 16 years old don't have to declare currency and other goods to enter or exit Uzbekistan. Otherwise, their parents or relatives must declare the minor's valuable items, indicating the relationship, full name, and date of birth on the form.

Uzbekistan Customs Declaration Form: Steps

Importing Cash Foreign Currency: Rules when entering Uzbekistan

Residents and non-residents can import unlimited cash foreign currency since it's all declared in the Customs Declaration Form T-6.

Exporting of cash foreign currency out of Uzbekistan

There are regulations to export cash foreign currency to follow:

  • Residents within the limit equivalent to USD 2,000 don't need permission;

  • Residents whose sum exceeds the equivalent of USD 2,000 need the permission of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan or another authorized bank;

  • According to the Customs Declaration, non-residents can export the amount that was previously imported to Uzbekistan. If non-residents need to return home with more cash than they brought into the country, they'll need a Bank Permission. This legal document is used to export excess cash foreign currency, as indicated in the Declaration T-6 during import.

Importing and exporting national currency in cash

When we talk about the Uzbekistan currency, residents and non-residents can import or export cash as long as the sum the sum doesn't exceed 50 living wages.

If you need to export a sum of the national currency of Uzbekistan in cash that exceeds 50 living wages, you have to obtain the permission of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
