Marble Village Saudi Arabia View

We provide a streamlined process to get your Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa. Let's dive into the process and requirements below.

What is the Saudi Arabia eVisa?

Saudi Arabia recently introduced an electronic visa system, also known as the Saudi e-Visa or Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa.

This means that you can apply 100% online without visiting a Saudi Embassy or Consulate, for your convenience.

What can you do with the Saudi Arabia eVisa?

With the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa, you can:

  • Explore the country for tourism

  • Visit religious sites, such as the Holy City of Mecca (Muslim visa holders only) and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina

  • Perform Umrah (Muslim visa holders only - outside Hajj season)

What can you not do with the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa?

With the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa, there are certain activities that you are not allowed to engage in. These include:

  • Perform Hajj or Umrah during Hajj season

  • Undertake any form of work or employment

  • Study

  • Do business or establish a business

  • Participate in political rallies or demonstrations

  • Preach or promote any religion other than Islam

  • Undertake any form of journalism or media-related activities without proper authorization

Who is eligible for the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa?

The Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa is available to citizens of more than 50 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Iceland, Ireland, and Turkey.

This is just a small selection of the many eligible countries. If you don’t see your country listed here, use our visa checker to check if you require this visa or another one.

Visa exempt: Who doesn't need a Saudi eVisa?

Citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can travel to Saudi Arabia without a visa.

It is important to note that these exemptions are subject to change.

Nationals from other countries may require another type of visa or ETA for Saudi Arabia.

Do minors require a Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa?

Minors require their own Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa if they're from an eligible country.

When applying for a visa for a minor, legal guardians or parents must provide additional documents such as a copy of the minor's birth certificate, consent letter from both parents or legal guardians, and proof of the minor's relationship to the accompanying adult.

How long is the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa valid?

There are two types of eVisas with different durations:

  • Single-entry: Valid for three months from the date of issuance and allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days.

  • Multiple-entry: Valid for one year from the date of issuance and allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days in total.

Currently, we only offer the multiple-entry visa.

Can I extend my Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa?

No, as Saudi Arabia does not offer tourist eVisa extensions. You must leave Saudi Arabia before your visa expires to avoid fines and issues with traveling to the country in the future.

Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa: Required documents

Before applying for a Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa, make sure to gather the following documents:

  • Valid passport: Your passport must have a minimum validity of six months beyond your planned arrival date and at least two blank pages for visa stamping

  • Passport-size photo: Recently taken

  • For minors and children: Additional documents may be required, such as a birth certificate

Please note that the Saudi Arabian authorities may request additional documents or information during the visa application process if necessary. We’ll contact you by email if this is the case.

How do I apply for the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa online?

To apply for the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa with us, follow these simple steps:

  • Step 1: Fill out our simplified online visa application form with your travel details.

  • Step 2: Choose your preferred processing time and pay the visa and processing fees.

  • Step 3: Wait for approval, receive your visa, and get ready to travel!

Costs and processing times of the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa

The costs and processing times are divided into two parts:

  • Government processing: The cost of the eVisa depends on your nationality. The processing time depends on the workload of the embassy in your country, but usually takes a couple of days.

  • iVisa processing: We offer three processing options for how quickly you want us to check and submit your documentation to the government, each with its own fee. Keep in mind, this is additional to the government visa fee and processing time.

Start the process above to check the exact total costs and time for your nationality!

Do I need a Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa if I’m transiting through Saudi Arabia?

If you are transiting through Saudi Arabia, and plan to stay in the airport transit area, you generally don’t need a Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa.

If you plan to enter the country during your layover, apply for the Saudi Arabia Air Transit Visa instead.

Can I use the Saudi Arabia Tourist eVisa to perform Hajj?

No, you can’t perform Hajj using a Tourist eVisa. To complete a Hajj pilgrimage, you require a Hajj Visa, which can be obtained from a travel agency approved by the Saudi Government.

Entry & exit requirements for Saudi Arabia

I’ll be in and out of Saudi Arabia over the next year, with some side trips to places like Dubai in between. I’m a bit confused about the Saudi tourist visa though. Is it a total of 90 days in a year, or does it reset every time I re-enter Saudi? Like, could I spend 90 days there, travel to Dubai for a week, and then get another 90 days when I come back to Saudi?

Since the East African Tourist Visa, which covers Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, is currently not available through the Kenyan government website, you can apply for the Uganda East Africa Visa if that’s the first country you'll go to after Kenya. This visa will cover your entries into Uganda and Rwanda. If you plan to head to Rwanda first after visiting Kenya, you can apply for the Rwanda East Africa Visa instead.

I'm planning my pilgrimage from London to Saudi Arabia for Umrah but I don’t have much time. I'm trying to figure out the best visa for me. Can I use the tourist eVisa for this purpose? Or is there a better option? I have a British passport.

You can use the Saudi tourist eVisa for Umrah, except during the peak Hajj season. As a UK citizen, you’re eligible for a Saudi Umrah Visa. This might be the better option for you as the visa is typically provided as part of a travel package, which includes the visa, transportation from and to the airport, accommodation, and medical insurance. All you have to book directly are your flights.

I'm from Toronto and looking to head back to Saudi Arabia for a second trip. My current tourist eVisa is still valid, but I want to get a new one with a new validity date. Can I apply for a new visa while the first one is still active, or do I need to wait until it expires?

Unfortunately, you can't apply for a new Saudi Tourist eVisa if your current one is still valid. You’d have to first cancel your current visa at the nearest Saudi embassy or consulate. Once this is done, you can then apply for a new eVisa.

I’m currently in Melbourne and my family and I are going to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia in September/October. I don’t like to leave things until the last minute but this time I might have jumped the gun. I applied for our Umrah visas way too early and I just realized that the visa’s three-month validity might not cover our travel dates. Is it possible to adjust the dates on the visa or should I cancel and reapply closer to the travel time? (I’m really hoping I don’t have to cancel because we’ll lose a lot of money.)

If you've applied for your Umrah visas too early and the three-month validity does not cover your intended travel dates, you cannot adjust the dates on an issued visa. Unfortunately, you would need to reapply for a new Umrah visa closer to your departure date to ensure the validity aligns with your travel schedule. It's important to plan the timing of your visa application according to your travel dates to avoid such issues.
